Midway at the State Fair

Night shot of the midway at the Maryland State Fair.

MMMmmm, Carney Food!

Veta was practically feral about her funnel cake!

I scream, u scream... oh, you know the rest!

I love the fact that the Milking Parlor is in the same building that sells ice cream. Yum!

Carney Rides!

The Extreme was everyone's favorite ride at the State Fair! Bob enjoys the ride with some kids at the fair.

Another shot of the Extreme!

I also enjoyed the Inverter!

I absolutely love the Zipper and couldn't find anyone to ride with me until I overheard Bob say he wanted to try it. He agreed to go on with me. The fool!

Swifty Swine!

We had to check out the Swifty Swine races at the State Fair. Derek waits rather impatiently for the competition to begin or maybe it was just the country music playing?

Bars and Restaurants in Rehoboth

We ate pretty well at the beach. From cool pubs to cheap Fish & Chips to fine dining. I think I gained weight.

Where the boys are

We finally made it to the beach and the sun was bright and the boys were pretty. The waves were awesome. I got Derek in the water for a while but after about 30 minutes he hit the beach again. I continued doing some body surfing. I got slammed into the sand a couple of times but it was so much fun!

First (real) trip to Rehoboth

For three years I've been doing the Ride for the Feast fro Rehoboth Beach to Baltimore as a fundraiser for Moveable Feast. We would arrive on Friday evening and I would leave on my bike on Saturday morning. It was for a good cause but until this year we hardly spent any time in the area. This year it was pretty cool too so it wasn't like the streets or beach were busy with people.

So we decided to make our first real trip to Rehoboth this year. We stayed at the Shore Inn and had perfect weather. The heat wave had decreased in intensity and the torrental storms hadn't started yet. Woo hoo!
