A century later

The last fifty miles were awful but I made. We had a very nice dinner at the end. Tuna steaks, pork chops, steak, three different salads a half dozen different desserts. It was just what I needed. They also had a masseuse for all the riders.

We spent the night in the Cheasapeake College gymnasium. Derek thought he'd be clever and grabbed the corner of the gym opposite the entrance. This corner was near the emergency exit and was, of course, the only spot in the gym that had an overhead light that didn't turn off.

Some people brought some beers and we hung out in the hall getting silly and sleepy.
